BARBARA LOUISE (BOGOZI) CARAFA

Barbara Louise (Bogozi) Carafa, 77, of Masontown, PA passed away February 23, 2025 at
Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown WV, with family by her side.

Barbara was born in Grays Landing, PA on May 16, 1947, the daughter of the late Joseph
Bogozi and Agnes (Radosevich) Bogozi. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law Jerry Davis.

Barbara lived in the Masontown area most of her life, graduating from German Township HS,
Class of 1965. She worked as a cashier at Brodak’s Shop N Save in Masontown, PA and was
a member of St Francis Francis of Assisi Parish in Masontown, PA. She greatly enjoyed
spending time with family and friends, reading, watching her “stories” on television, and most
of all being “Granny Barbie” to her beloved grandchildren.

On June 17, 1968 she married her dearly loved husband Andrew Eugene Carafa. He
preceded her in death on November 15, 2008.

Barbara leaves behind her only son Shawn (Margaret) Carafa, Stow, OH; a sister Judy Davis,
Uniontown, PA; brothers Joseph (Judy) Bogozi, Masontown, PA; and David (Nanette) Bogozi,
Locust Grove, VA; five grandchildren Colton, Summer, Oliver, Paige, and Elizabeth “Brizzy”
Carafa; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends in the chapel at St. Agnes Cemetery, Masontown, PA, Monday
March 3, 2025 from 1 pm until service time at 2 pm with Very Rev. Anthony J. Klimko, VF officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, Masontown, Pa.
