DALE “CRASH” BARNHART

Dale “Crash” Barnhart, 73, of McClellandtown, PA, passed away April 23, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Uniontown, PA on January 2, 1952, the son of the late Leonard and Sarah (Lilley) Barnhart. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Diane Barnhart Wilson.

Dale was a graduate of German Township High School, Class of 1971. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Before retiring he was employed as a Coal Miner at Maple Creek Mine, UMWA Local 1248, US Steel Company and was a Life Member of McClellandtown Vol. Fire Department #26.

He is survived by his daughter Kristy Moniger and husband Brian and granddaughter Abbey of Adah, PA and brothers: Leonard Barnhart and wife JoAnne and David Barnhart and wife Jenny of Minnesota; adopted daughters: Buffy Coffman and Steffani Palmer.

Family and friends will be received in the John S. Maykuth, Jr Funeral Home, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA on Friday, April 25th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 26 from 10
until 11 a.m. the hour of service.

Military Rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 423 and VFW Post 4584.

Internment follows in Church Hill Cemetery, German Township, PA.
