GOLDIE KAPRIVE

Goldie Kaprive, 97, of Masontown, PA., passed away peacefully on January 18th, 2026 at Horizon Personal Care Home, Fairchance, PA. She was born on January 28, 1928 in Ohio the daughter of John and Justine Shine.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert G. Kaprive, Sr. and daughter Sharon Kaprive.

Goldie was a graduate of Masontown High School. She was a terrific grandmother who loved her dog and loved playing cards, scrabble, bingo, and doing crossword puzzles. Goldie was known for her delicious home made pies and pierogi.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert G. Kaprive Jr. and wife Paulette of Masontown, PA
and Michael D. Kaprive of Masontown, PA and daughter Christine Hopton and husband Jerry of Mather, PA and grandson Brian Kaprive and wife Audra of Bracey, VA.

She was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown, PA.

A private viewing will be held in the JOHN S MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 12 until 2 p.m.

Interment at St. Agnes Cemetery Masontown, PA.
