John Martin “Jumbo” Stoffa, 73, of Masontown, passed away November 15, 2025 at Waynesburg Healthcare & Rehabilation Center, Waynesburg, PA.

He was born in Uniontown, PA on December 21, 1951, the son of the late John Nick and Elizabeth Elek Stoffa.

John graduated from German Township High School, Class of 1969. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. John worked at Maple Creek Mine and later at Cumberland Mine.

Left to cherish his memory are sons: John Stoffa and wife Rosa and grandson Taeseok; Joseph Stoffa and wife Jennie and grandchildren: Cora, Violet and Theo; and sister, Elissa “Cissey” Stoffa Carroll.

Friends will be received in the John S. Maykuth, Jr. Funeral Home, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA
on Wednesday, November 19th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 until 10 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Masontown, PA. followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, PA.
