WALTER A. DEMASKE, Sr.

Walter A. Demaske, Sr., 81, of Greensboro, PA. passed away Friday, August 22, 2025 at Bella Healthcare Center, Uniontown, PA.

He was born in Smithfield, PA on January 30, 1944, the son of the late Jacob and Caroline (Caputa) Demaske.

After graduating from Albert Gallatin High School he joined the U.S. Army and later was employed at Consol Coal Mine.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Paul, sister Janet and son John Scott.

Walter is survived by his wife Barbara Demaske, son Walter Demaske, Jr. and wife Melissa of Masontown and daughter Christy Demaske of Tacoma, Washington; grandchildren: Matthew, Olivia, Barbara, DeLynn and John Jr.; brothers: Jacob, Vince and Raymond.

Family and friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday
August 27, 2025 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday until 9:30 a.m. Prayer Service in the Funeral Home Chapel followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Masontown, PA.

Military Rites accorded by the Masontown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4584 and the American Legion Post 423 at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
