ANNA ELIZABETH BERTOVICH

Anna Elizabeth Bertovich, 94, of Masontown, PA passed away February 7, 2024 at her home with her family at her side.

She was born in Smithfield, PA on June 3, 1929, the daughter of the late Michael and Kathryn (Novotny) Rusnak.

Anna was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown, PA. She enjoyed spending her time reading, raising chickens, growing flowers, working in the garden and taking care of her dog, Mala.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul A. Bertovich, brothers: John Rusnak, Michael Rusnak and Stephen Rusnak and sister, Kathryn Glova.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Janet (Michael) Smith of Smithfield, PA and Susan Fyock of Masontown, PA; grandchildren: Kathryn Morrow, Sarah Fyock, Jacqulyn Fyock and Paul Fyock and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Friday, February 9, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, from 9 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown with Father Anthony Cortado as Celebrant.

Interment follows at St. Agnes Cemetery, Masontown, PA.
