GERALD EDWARD SWITCH
“GROUND HOG”

Gerald Edward Switch, 84, of McClellandtown, PA., passed away, February 2, 2024 at his home.

He was born in Martin, PA on September 27, 1939, the son of the late Helen (Bodnar) Switch and Joseph Switch.

Before retiring he was employed as a truck driver at Suchko Heating He enjoyed hunting, gambling and hanging out with his son Mark. He loved his dogs: Lucy, Ginger, Peanut and Sophie.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Marie Ann Switch; brother, Joe (Putsy) Switch and nephews: Joe Jordon and Danny Switch and son-in-law Eric Chipps.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Dolores Switch; children: Violet Chipps, Geraldine Switch and partner Rick Huey, Mark Switch and fiance Lara Yoler, Thomas Swaney, Jherilyn Swaney and partner Jeff Oros; grandchildren: Eric, Katelyn, Tristan and Sienna; sisters: Patricia Volpe, Delores Ramsey, Yolanda Frammartino and brother Gerome Switch.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice of Masontown for the loving care given to Gerald.

Family and friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA on Monday, February 5, from 12 until 3 p.m. the hour of service with Reverend Randy Byers officiating. Private internment.
