James Gabeletto, Jr., 90, of Smithfield, PA, passed away September 30, 2021 at Horizon Personal Care Home, Fairchance, PA.

He was born in Masontown, PA. on July 16, 1931, the son of the late James A. and Beatrice (Taylor) Gabeletto.

He attended Willow Grove School. In addition to working his farm, James was employed for 55 years as a Bus Driver for the AG Area School District.

He was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish Masontown, PA.

In addition to his mother and father, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Zurvalec) Gabeletto.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons: James (Deborah) Gabeletto, III of Smithfield, PA.; Jeffrey (Bernadette) Gabeletto of Smithfield, PA and Joseph Gabeletto of Masontown, PA; 6 grandchildren: Jennan, Jestina, Janenne, Joe, Brittney and Sarah; 4 great grandchildren: Conor, Waylan, Brea and Kaylee and his sisters: Ella Ray White of Sharon, PA and Marlene Drew of Orlando, FL and brother, Terry Gabeletto of Smithfield, PA.

Family and friends will be received in the John S. Maykuth Jr. Funeral Home, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA on Monday, October 4th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown, PA with Father Marlon Pates officiating. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, PA.

Due to the COVID-19 state and federal guidelines and restrictions, social distancing and masks are required at the viewing and services.
