JOANNE ZAWACKI

Joanne Albani Zawacki, 81, of Masontown, PA passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

She was born in Bessemer, PA on October 29, 1942, the daughter of the late Paul and Ada Albani.

Joanne was a graduate of Masontown High School and Robert Morris School of Business. Upon graduation she worked at Fayette Bank where she met the love of her life Donald, who preceded her in death.

Joanne loved reading, watching her favorite shows, taking Tai Chi at the Masontown Senior Center, talking with friends and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, she was predeceased by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted daughters, Kimberly Harkins and Dawn Eberhart both of Masontown, PA; her “favorite” son-in-law, Darek Eberhart also from Masontown, PA, her loving grandchildren, Zachary Harkins and his wife Sara of Uniontown, PA and Megan Harkins and her fiancé Joshua Kilo of Masontown, PA, her brother David Albani and his wife Marcia of Keyser, WV, sisters-in-law Louise Agresti, Henrietta Furda and Deborah D’Amico, several nieces, nephews and special goddaughter Renee Joyce.

Joanne had many dear friends who were more like family including Helyn, Bob and Marissa Stevens, and Sandra Guappone.

Donations may be made to Albert Gallatin Human Services for the benefit of the Masontown Senior Citizens Center.

Family and friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, Masontown, Pa, Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 5 until 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 4, 2024, 10:30 a.m. Prayers of Transfer will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Masontown, Pa. with Father Daniel Blout as Celebrant. Private interment.
