MARGARET “PEGGY” RYCZEK

Margaret “Peggy” Ryczek, 80, of Smithfield, PA, passed away November 14, 2024 at LaFayette Manor, Uniontown, PA.

She was born in Winstead, PA on March 10, 1944, the daughter of the late Ernest Newton and Isa Dora (Tarr) Wilson.

Peggy was a graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church and the Rockwell Bowling League.

She was predeceased by her husband Thomas A. Ryczek; sisters: Betty Smith, Shirley Baker, Ruth Devinney, Mary Bucklew; brother Robert Wilson. Peggy was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Sandra Griffith and husband Samuel of Mechanicsville, Maryland and Thomas A. Ryczek, Jr. and wife Kristie of Smithfield, PA; 6 grandchildren: Matthew, Jamie, Sam and Nicholas Griffith; Kacie and Cole Ryczek.

Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa, Sunday, November 17 , 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and Monday until 10:00 a.m. the hour of Service in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darrell Edgar officiating. Interment follows Mountain View Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
