Marie Elizabeth Durschlag, 85, of McClellandtown, PA, passed away January 3rd, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Uniontown, PA on February 9th 1937, the daughter of the late Albert Brennsteiner Sr. and Louise (Oberleitner) Brennsteiner.

She was a graduate of Kolb Catholic High School in Masontown PA. She enjoying working in her yard, baking desserts, being a caregiver for all family members, and loved watching her kids play sports and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

She was a lifelong member of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown, PA.

Proceeding her in death were her parents and brothers: Albert Brennsteiner Jr., Joseph Brennsteiner Sr. and Ernest Brennsteiner Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Diana (Paul) Aker of Charlotte, NC, Richard Durschlag of McClellandtown, PA , Maurice (Pamela) Durschlag of Seneca, SC, and Robert
(Heidi) Durschlag of Charlotte, NC. Plus grandchildren: Katherine, Maxwell, Konrad, Cayla and Claire.

A funeral mass will be held at St Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville NC, 2:30 pm Friday January 20th. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for any donations to go to the
Arthritis Foundation in their mother’s memory.
