Mary Frances Hixon, 80, of Lemont Furnace, PA., passed away Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at her home.

She was born in LaBelle, PA on May 7, 1943, the daughter of the late Emerson and Martha Ella (Dixon) Snyder.

Mary enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by husbands: Joseph Hixon Jr. and James Howard Sr.; son, John M. Howard and daughter Rhonda Howard; brothers: Gene Snyder, Emerson Snyder, John Snyder and Reckard Snyder; sisters: Ina Willingham and Mae Snyder.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Martha Delorenzo of Lemont Furnace, PA, Jodi King of Lambert, PA, Melissa (Robert) Brenzy of Masontown, PA, James Howard, Jr. of McClellandtown, PA; step son: Sean Hixon; sisters: Judy Snyder of Hibbs, PA., Delores Snyder of Uniontown, PA., Deborah (Robert) Lewis of Lemont Furnace, PA; brother Charles Snyder of Shoaf, PA; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the John S. Maykuth Jr. Funeral Home, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA on Tuesday, November 28th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. and Wednesday, November 29th from 10 until 11 a.m. the hour of service in the Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Byers officiating. Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, PA.
