Nancy Lillian Zapotosky, 90, of Masontown, PA passed away Wednesday, October 30th, 2024 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.

She was born in Masontown, PA on October 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Deno and Rena (Baldi) Dolfi. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband John V. Zapotosky, Jr., and son John V. Zapotosky, III; brother Ferdinand Dolfi and sister Virginia Tassone.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Nancy was a graduate of Kolb High School and for many years she worked as a bookkeeper for husband’s businesses.

She is survived by her daughters: Renee Sulipeck and husband Mellio of Smithfield, PA and Nanette Cochrane and husband Bruce of Masontown, PA, granddaughter Danelle Uglik and husband Kevin of Cheat Lake, WV and great grandchildren Kendall and Frankie Uglik.

She was a kind and gentle matriarch of her close-knit family leaving a void that cannot be filled.

She was a member of the Christian Mothers, Italian Ladies and an avid reader and bowler. She will be greatly missed by her friends with whom she socialized, playing cards, Rummikub, and going out to eat.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 1st from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at John S. Maykuth Jr. Funeral Home, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA and Saturday, from 9 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be held followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown, PA. Interment follows at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to German-Masontown Library.
