ORA (ORIE) MARLENE VANSICKLE

Ora (Orie) Marlene VanSickle, 76, of Masontown, PA passed away September 18, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Uniontown, PA on December 21, 1949, the daughter of the late Eugene and Kathleen (Parker) Riffle. She was predeceased by her first husband Glen Miller, brothers Jerry and Jimmy Riffle, sisters: Linda Riffle and Carolyn Reda.

Ora was a graduate of German Township High School, Class of 1967. She was employed as a waitress at Mojocks Family Restaurant and bartender at the Silver Bar.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Ronald VanSickle, stepdaughter Kathy Workman and husband Bryan, brother-in-law Dave VanSickle and wife Sandy, special nieces: Lynann, Tatum, Staysee, Skylar, Theresa, Steffani, Buffy, Melissa, Megan, Courtney and Breona, nephews: Tristan, Scott, James and Jeremy; grandchildren: Ashton and Braden Workmen. Her special golden girls: Syndee Cocalis, Janice Snyder, Carol Kalbaugh and Nancy Miller and her granddaughter Nicola.

Ora enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, decorating for the holidays and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed helping people when they were down and needed someone. She was a special Angel here on earth.

Family and friends will be received in the John S. Maykuth, Jr. Funeral Home, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA on Monday, Sept. 21 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 until 11 a.m. the hour of service in the funeral home chapel followed by a Peace Meal at the Masontown American Legion.
