RICHARD F. FERLAND

Richard F. Ferland 73, of Adah, PA, passed away January 17, 2024 at WVU Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, PA.

He was born in Uniontown, PA, on July 25, 1950, the son of the late Frank and Pauline (Childs) Ferland.

After graduating in 1969 from German Township High School, he joined the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War. Before retiring, he was employed as a welder at Shumar Welding, Grindstone, PA. Richard enjoyed deer hunting, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers: Ronald Ferland, Rodger Ferland and Rickey Ferland; nephew Steven Conway, Sr. and great niece Elizabeth Pauline Holt and baby O’Brien.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Regina (Keefer) Ferland; children:
Tammy Ferland , Richard Ferland, Jr. and wife Cindy; Donna and Ed Krepps; three grandchildren: Bradley Ferland, Samantha Krepps and Kaleigh Ferland; sisters: Patty Holt and husband Bud, Debbie Conway and husband Bob; Cindy Holt and husband Clarence and brothers: Randy Ferland and wife Sharon, Frankie Ferland and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the John S. Maykuth Jr. Funeral Home, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 10 -11 a.m. the hour of service in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles O’Brien officiating. Interment will follow in Greendale Cemetery, Masontown, PA.
