SANDRA SUE VRABEL

Sandra S. (Anderson) Searcy Vrabel, age 79, of Smithfield (High House) PA, passed away January 26, 2025 in her home.

She was born on Thursday, January 3, 1946 in Longview, Texas, the daughter of the late Roy Anderson and Louise (McCraw) Crabill.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Timothy R. Searcy and her first husband, Don R. Searcy and her brothers, Kenneth R. Anderson and Donald R. Anderson.

She is survived by her sons, Guy M. Searcy of Utah and Ryan W. Searcy and wife Jennifer of Uniontown, PA., several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sisters: Sharon Palmer and Roylene Vincent and several nieces and nephews.

Sandra graduated from Reno High School, Reno, Nevada, Class of 1963 and attended San Joaquin General College, Stockton, CA and Modesto Junior College, Modesto, CA. She worked as a nursing assistant before and during her quest to become a registered nurse.

Sandra obtained her Realtors License in California before moving to Pennsylvania in 1987. She obtained her Pennsylvania Realtors License and worked for Herrington & Long, Waynesburg, PA and then Howard Hanna, Washington, PA. Sandra was involved in purchasing homes, remodeling and then either renting or selling them. She was a very generous person who helped many people obtain their homes by helping with financing.

She liked to sing karaoke, dance and bowl.

Family and friends will be received in the John S. Maykuth Jr. Funeral Home, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA, on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 1-3 p.m. the hour of service in the Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Byers officiating.
