TONY EDWARD BANNISTER, Sr.

Tony Edward Bannister, Sr., 68, of Masontown, PA, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Lexington, VA on June 25, 1951, the son of the late Robert Edward Lyle and Ruth Beatrice (Bannister) Morris.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and worked in the construction field for many years.

Tony loved to cook and he enjoyed sitting on his back porch and hanging out with his special friends Terranc Batie and John “Boo”.

He is survived by his children: Marsha Fenton and friend Glen McClure, Alita (Anthony) Thompson, Tony (Lisa) Bannister, Jr. and Joshua (Julie) Bannister; 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; his sisters: Marsha Johnson, Lisa Dorsey and Danette Morris; brothers: Erik Morris and Clyde Morris, Jr. and his significant other Stacey Pulley.

Family and friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA on Thursday, November 7 , 2019, from 1 until 3 p.m. the hour of Service in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Vincent L. Winfrey, Sr. officiating,
